was built up on the success of it's Regional Office network which
today provides confidence to the Owners and operators of 1,500
vessels who have chosen to rent equipment from us.
Covering the length and breadth of the UK, from Falmouth to Fraserburgh and
from London to Liverpool, we are able to provide assistance to all sectors of
the Maritime Industry, from the Leisure Market in the south, to the Fishing
Fleets in Northern Scotland and to the Offshore Oil Industry in the North Sea.
> Communication Network Services
SELEX Communications Ltd - Marine Division is an internationally approved Accounting
Authority, whose fundamental responsibility is for the handling of charges
for communications originated by vessels using both terrestrial and Inmarsat
communications systems. This service also extends to land based equipment.
The service provided covers the receiving, verifying and settlement of
charges arising from communications, the provision of mandatory ITU publications
together with stationery necessary for the recording and charging of calls.
As part of this service, clients can receive the much acclaimed SELEX Communications Ltd - Marine Division
"CheckMate" logging and charging PC based software, enabling any caller to immediately
log and cost his calls. "CheckMate" also incorporates Least Cost Routing for
terrestrial and satellite services.
> Radio Surveys
SELEX Communications Ltd - Marine Division's Marine Radio Survey and Inspection Service is a provider of radio safety surveys. We work closely with the MCA and the Classification
Societies to enable us to meet and exceed the standards that are required
of us.
Our large team of experienced Radio Surveyors, accredited by the MCA, operates
from Radio Survey and Inspection Service Regional Offices in 15 ports around
the UK, providing a nationwide Radio Survey service. They are trained
and equipped to carry out Radio Surveys and Inspections on GMDSS installations
for all categories of vessels and equipment, from fishing vessels to the
largest passenger liners. Quality controls and procedures of the Survey
Service are ISO9001:2000 accredited.

The Marine Radio Survey and Inspection Service also performs Radio Surveys
for Classification Societies and for Administrations outside the U.K. and
these are carried out to the same standard of service as for British-registered
vessels.
In the UK we are accredited to provide radio surveys for Lloyd's
Register, Bureau Veritas, ABS, RINA, Det Norske Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd and ClassNK.

> LRIT - Long Range Identification and Tracking
Conformance Testing for UK and IOM registered vessels
SELEX Communications Ltd have been appointed as an LRIT Authorised Testing Application Service provider for the
UNITED KINGDOM Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and on behalf of the Government of the ISLE OF MAN. This is in accordance with SOLAS V, Regulation 19-1
in compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Resolution MSC.263(84) on "Revised performance
standards and functional requirements for the long-range identification and tracking of ships" and MSC.1/Circ.1296 "Guidance on the survey and certification of compliance of ships with the requirement to transmit Long Range Identification
and Tracking (LRIT) information."
SELEX Communications Ltd may therefore test shipborne Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) equipment fitted
to vessels registered in the United Kingdom and issue Conformance Test Reports (CTRs) as outlined in MSC.1/Circ.1307.

> Voyage Data Recorder Annual Performance Testing
SELEX Communications Ltd - Marine Division's is a provider of VDR/S-VDR Annual Performance Tests for Broadgate, JRC and Danelec VDR/S-VDR's. SELEX Communications Ltd - Marine Division works closely with the MCA and Classification Societies to enable us to meet and exceed the standards that are required of us.
Our team of experienced VDR/S-VDR Surveyors operates from our Regional Offices. They are trained and equipped to carry out VDR/S-VDR APT's. Quality controls and procedures of the Survey Service are ISO9001:2000 accredited.

Since 1902 SELEX Communications Ltd - Marine Division has provided the Maritime Industry with a professional
crew member. The Electronics/ElectroTechnical Officers, as they are known today,
have evolved and adapted skills to ensure they can provide an operating and first-line maintenance service for the continuously changing and ever-increasing
complexity of today's on-board communications and navigation systems, along
with maintenance of a vessel's power generation, navigation control and electrical
equipment.
The service is available to all areas of the Maritime and Offshore Industries,
for both long and short term contracts, on a worldwide basis.
